Accounts Executive – Overseas Settlement

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Executive to join our team and assist with the overseas settlement process. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely accounts receivables and payables from overseas agents. Candidate will also play a key role in reconciling agent statements of accounts, identifying exceptions, and resolving any issues that may arise.

Position Requirements

• Maintain regular communication with overseas agents to ensure timely collection of payments.
• Monitor outstanding invoices and promptly follow up on any overdue accounts.
• Coordinate with agents to resolve any payment discrepancies or issues.
• Liaise with overseas agents to ensure timely payment of invoices and expenses.
• Monitor and track payment schedules and resolve any payment delays or disputes.
• Verify and reconcile agent statements of accounts with internal records.
• Identify any discrepancies or exceptions and escalate them to the appropriate departments for resolution.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to account balances or transactions.
• Facilitate the process of contra settlements with overseas agents.
• Coordinate with agents to reconcile outstanding balances and arrange for mutual offsetting of debts or credits.
• Collaborate with the Operations/Job Management Team to obtain accurate and timely cost information.
• Ensure that cost postings are made promptly and accurately in the accounting system.
• Prepare and submit weekly reports summarizing the status of accounts receivables and payables.
• Provide relevant updates on payments, reconciliations, and any ongoing issues.
• Assist in other accounting and finance-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
• Support the overall financial operations of the organization as needed.

Person Requirements

• Full/ Part bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Proven experience in accounting receivable and accounts payable management, preferably in an international setting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices and use of accounting software and tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
