Job Description

We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Assistant Manager – Business Development to join our team and drive the sales of our SaaS-based Learning Management System, Layup. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in corporate sales and marketing, with a preference for those with exposure to the IT industry. A degree in marketing or full/part qualifications in either CIM or SLIM are highly desirable. Additionally, knowledge of organizational HR and training functions, familiarity with SaaS products, and exposure to corporate HR networks would be considered advantageous.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prospect Identification and High Net Worth Lead Generation:
    • Skillfully identify prospects and generate high net worth leads for Layup’s Enterprise portfolio.
    • Employ strategic approaches to attract and engage potential customers with substantial business potential.
  2. Sales Process and Client Acquisition:
    • Nurture prospects through the sales process, establishing strong relationships and guiding them towards becoming clients.
    • Employ a consultative sales approach to understand client requirements and effectively present Layup’s value proposition.
  3. Industry Research and Feedback:
    • Conduct periodic industry research to stay updated on market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
    • Provide valuable feedback to internal teams for continuous improvement of the Layup platform.
  4. Upselling and Cross-Selling:
    • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling Layup’s value-added services to existing clients.
    • Develop a deep understanding of clients’ evolving needs and propose suitable solutions to maximize their benefits from Layup.
  5. Sales Performance and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of individual sales activities, customer interactions, and ongoing deals.
    • Prepare comprehensive reports on individual sales performance and revenue forecasts, aligned with set revenue objectives.
  6. Partnership Management:
    • Manage partnerships with key stakeholders and resellers, ensuring strong relationships and collaborative efforts.
    • Collaborate with partners to develop joint go-to-market strategies, promotional activities, and sales enablement initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in corporate sales and marketing, with a preference for exposure to the IT industry.
  • Possession of a degree in marketing or full/part qualifications in either CIM or SLIM.
  • Knowledge of organizational HR and training functions, along with a solid understanding of SaaS products, would be advantageous.
