Job Description

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Manager at Magellan Champlain

Position Purpose:

To lead, design, and implement Magellan Champlain’s CSR strategies, ensuring they reflect the company’s objectives and resonate with stakeholder expectations. This role will align the company’s social and environmental efforts with its business goals to promote sustainability, equity, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategy Development & Implementation
  • Develop and implement a CSR strategy that aligns with Magellan Champlain’s mission, vision, and business goals.
  • Set clear objectives and KPIs for all CSR initiatives.
  1. Stakeholder Engagement
  • Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, NGOs, community groups, and government agencies.
  • Engage stakeholders in dialogues to identify their expectations and concerns regarding Magellan Champlain’s social and environmental impacts.
  1. Program Management
  • Oversee and manage the execution of CSR projects and initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on the impact and performance of these initiatives.
  1. Communication & Reporting
  • Work with the communications team to promote CSR achievements and stories.
  • Compile and publish annual CSR reports detailing the company’s social and environmental performance.
  1. Employee Engagement
  • Encourage employee participation in CSR initiatives.
  • Organize and oversee volunteer activities and community involvement programs.
  1. Partnership & Collaboration
  • Form partnerships with NGOs, businesses, and other relevant organizations to amplify the impact of CSR initiatives.
  • Stay updated on best practices and innovative solutions in the field of CSR.
  1. Budget Management
  • Allocate and manage budgets for CSR initiatives, ensuring cost-effective delivery of programs.
  1. Monitoring & Evaluation
  • Regularly review and evaluate the effectiveness of CSR initiatives.
  • Incorporate feedback and insights into future strategy development.
  1. Training & Education
  • Conduct internal workshops and training sessions to increase employee awareness of CSR and its importance to Magellan Champlain.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in CSR, sustainability, or a related field.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to form and maintain strategic partnerships.
  • Familiarity with global CSR standards and guidelines, such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).
