Job Description

Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for software applications.
  2. Collaborate with development teams to ensure efficient and reliable deployment of applications.
  3. Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployments using tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Terraform.
  4. Monitor and maintain the performance, availability, and scalability of production systems.
  5. Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues in a timely manner.
  6. Implement and maintain system and application monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
  7. Ensure security best practices are followed, including access control, data encryption, and vulnerability scanning.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the overall software development process and implement DevOps best practices.
  9. Evaluate new technologies and tools to optimize and enhance the infrastructure and development processes.
  10. Participate in on-call rotation for handling emergencies and critical incidents.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  2. Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  3. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Ruby, or Bash.
  4. Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  5. Solid understanding of Linux/Unix systems administration and networking concepts.
  6. Knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or SaltStack.
  7. Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
  8. Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  9. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  10. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
