DIRECTOR, CONTENT STRATEGY – APAC

1021 Creative is seeking a Director, Content Strategy – APAC to join our team! As a Director of Content Strategy you will have a thorough overview of the projects, people in your region and in support of the team’s growth as well as guiding team members through any challenges they may face. A strong ability to foster open and timely communication across multiple time zones and cultures in a remote environment is essential in this role.

You will be both strategic and creative, and also be a leader. You will be a strong manager of

people and projects, and you will bring ideas, solutions, empathy, and proactiveness to this role.

You will strive for the success of your teams and will provide supportive mentorship with an eye

towards the growth and development of your team members.

What you will do

• Oversee the regional teams across APAC
• Understand project details (services and deliverables, team roles, processes, deadlines) and stay updated on timelines and status
• Apply project management skills to monitor workflows, processes, and timelines for new and existing projects, and assign tasks to team members
• Conduct weekly team meetings, weekly one-on-one meetings with individual team members, and weekly touch bases with the client
• Clearly define and communicate deliverables and timelines to team, and track all internal and client facing research and reports
• Work with team to ensure compliance with 1021 Creative policies, including confidentiality and employee conduct
• Facilitate individual employee growth through annual performance reviews, advocating for raises and bonuses where appropriate, and maintaining documentation in partnership with HR
• Interview and onboard new team members in partnership with recruitment and HR
• Participate in client contract renewal discussions
• Evaluate and improve on existing processes and tools, and document any changes

Required Experience

• 5-7 years of experience in people management across APAC regions
• Experience managing teams in a remote environment across different time zones
• 3-5 years of experience in account management, account development, or content management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to work in Google Suite including Docs, Sheets, and Slides

Preferred Qualifications

• Preferred experience working with clients in an agency setting
• Preferred experience with social media platforms and pop culture video content
