The Position

St John of God Health Care is now seeking for the position of Group Admissions Support Officer to join the Admissions team at Group Services.

As a Group Admission Support Officer, you are to provide high quality customer service to assist patients with online admissions, process patient registrations, confirm eligibility of adequate health cover and provide informed financial consent, as well as work closely with hospitals to ensure process are completed in a timely manner prior to the patient’s admission.

We currently have flexible work options with Full Time, Part Time and Casual positions available with hours ranging up to 38 hours per week.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated experience delivering exceptional customer service and clerical support in a health care environment.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to relate to hospital staff, patients, families and medical staff.
  • Sound conceptual and analytical skills, including the ability to analyse information and make informed decisions.
  • Well-developed planning and organisational skills, including the ability to priorities tasks and manage a varied workload.
  • Demonstrates sensitivity, respect and empathy for others.
  • Well-developed computer literacy, proficiency in Microsoft Office and other hospital patient administration systems and software.
  • Flexibility to work across a variety of shifts or weekends as required.
