Job Description

The post holder will be responsible for account and stakeholder management, commercial planning, market and customer intelligence, winning business, product knowledge and promotion, as well as leadership and management. They will proactively develop relationships with key clients, contribute to forecasting sales targets, and monitor partner sales performance. They will identify opportunities for growth within key accounts, organize and submit high-quality initiatives, and participate in internal working groups to maintain product knowledge. They will also oversee the delivery of the work plan for key account management initiatives and provide formal line management to a small team.

Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to lead on the implementation of the Commercial and Business Development strategy, in line with the Exams department’s three-year plan and the wider Sri Lanka country plan. The postholder will coordinate activity to work towards a range of commercial and business development objectives, thereby sustaining existing accounts and creating new business. The position will be a core part of the in-country Exams management team.

Role specific knowledge and experience

  • University Degree or relevant professional qualification.
  • Significant experience in a key account management role.
  • Significant experience of sustaining and/or growing a product/service in line with strategic priorities for income and impact.
  • Demonstratable experience collecting & analysing client/stakeholder feedback and using the data to identify business needs and obstacles; works to resolve them.
  • Experience in managing and leading medium-sized teams.

Contract Type – Indefinite Local

Location – Sri Lanka (Colombo)
