Job Description

We are seeking a Manager – Cards Business Acquisitions for our FriMI Digital Banking and Acquisitions Unit.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the product salience and relevance across the suite of credit and debit card products, ensuring card preference, brand awareness, and partner management.
  • Work with a team of professionals to accomplish established goals, negotiate, and make decisions on issues and activities having a critical impact/influence on the card’s products across FriMi branded (emerging affluent & affluent cards), co-branded cards, and commercial cards products in Sri Lanka.
  • Lead strategic product roadmaps, product development, program launches, and program marketing to gain maximum benefit from each product, and survey/analyze competitive industry landscapes to identify relative trends, threats, and opportunities.
  • Manage acquisition targets, product financial performance, and revenue performance for the entire credit and debit card product spectrum across FriMi branded cards.
  • Drive client value propositions, positioning, segmentation, pricing, targeting, channel strategies, and competitive differentiation to drive issuing sales & market share.
  • Oversee all aspects of product lifecycle management, including market demands, technology trends, and the competitive field, and drive innovation by working with external partners/alliances to develop products and manage ongoing relationships.
  • Develop and communicate a business plan to approach the marketplace, and coordinate and implement team procedures, client problem resolutions, and client management.

  • Good communication, interpersonal skills, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive/board level.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines & KPIs.
  • Strong understanding of company products, services, business position, and competition.
  • Demonstrate support for innovation and for organizational changes needed to improve the organization’s effectiveness.
  • Analytical and performance management skills and ability to pay attention to detail.
  • Understanding of the implications of rewards pricing on the profitability of the cards and loans business.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 years of varied experiences (e.g. sales, marketing, finance, information technology, etc.) is important.
  • Out of the total experience, 2 years at the deputy manager level.
  • A bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business field, or a full/part professional qualification in Marketing/Finance.
