Job Description

In 2020, IFS acquired Clevest Solutions Inc., the leading provider of mobile workforce management and advanced network deployment solutions in the utilities vertical.

Sitting within the extended Unified Support and reporting to a Global Support Director, this role will support the Clevest line of business within IFS. Our mobile applications and platforms enable gas, water, and electric utilities to scale their workforce in the field and use the latest technologies in their day-to-day work. We enable utilities to transform their field operations by rapidly automating and optimizing any field work activity or process to improve response time and effectiveness. Our platforms offer utility operations personnel in both the office and field, improved location and situational awareness for faster, more intelligent decision-making, greater safety, and easier regulatory compliance.

This role will have the responsibility for leading a team in the delivery of both application support on Clevest products as well as managing and supporting a Cloud team who will work in both AWS and Azure to manage Clevest customer infrastructure.

We’re looking for a results-oriented professional that can remain calm under pressure to manage these technical teams. This includes all aspects of client support, from client interaction to leadership that elevates the customer experience.

The Global Support Manager role is primarily responsible for providing technical and operational leadership for a cloud platform application. The role will ensure best practices in operating a secure cloud infrastructure and related standards to ensure the foundation which reflects the infrastructure needs and concerns of the customers as well as those of the employees reporting directly to the manager.

Primary Scope of the role:

  • Lead operational ITIL activities and improvements including service desk, incident management and operational capacity planning
  • Coordinate incident management with members and third-party vendors
  • Use monitoring tools and system analytics to quickly diagnose and create documentation for root cause analysis
  • Use monitoring tools to monitor resource usage and cost and collaborate with engineering teams in creation of cost optimization concepts
  • Contributing to process improvements in support operations
  • Use monitoring tools to investigate outage patterns and pro-actively collaborate with engineering teams in creation of continuous improvement of platform stability
  • Ensure the operative availability of business continuity processes and resources
  • Experience and understanding Networking and Security Concepts such as risk assessment checks on systems, firewalls and update security procedures
  • Awareness of maintenance agreements’ contents to ensure the appropriate delivery of included support services;
  • Providing best practices for operating and maintaining cost-efficient scalable cloud environment, as required
  • Line management responsibility for a geographically distributed team.


  • 5+ years of prior experience working with cloud-based application support
  • A university degree in the field of Information Technology
  • An understanding of infrastructure operation concepts, in a cloud provider (AWS and/or Azure)
  • Sound knowledge of support process principles
  • Experience with performance management in a n-tier application environment. (Resource allocation, metric collection, performance diagnosis).
  • Proven track record of incident management and post-mortem practices
  • Proven track record of tracking and documenting incident change management
  • Ability to lead, mold and develop a high performing support team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a friendly, collaborative attitude
  • Previously led a cloud operations / infrastructure team in a SaaS environment
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in the English language
