ORIONSTELLAR is a Sri Lankan joint venture between St. Anthony’s Group and Dialog Axiata Group. We are Sri Lanka’s first, service provider-neutral, Tier 3 category internet data center (IDC) located within Orion City IT Park, Colombo.
We are looking for an experienced network engineering professional for the Network Operations and Management – Executive role to develop an excellent NetOps culture at our Data Center.
SOME OF THE THINGS YOU WOULD BE DOING
– Working on a Roster basis in Network Operation Center.
– Tracking issues and 1st level Troubleshooting the problems.
– Coordinate with partners, contractors, and service providers.
– Help customers with their data center onboarding.
YOU SHOULD HAVE
– Higher National Diploma/ National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering – NVQ Level 5/6 or relevant discipline preferred.
– Minimum 1-year work experience in a similar capacity
– An excellent understanding of the Electrical & Mechanical systems
– Understanding of other facilities systems, including fire detection and suppression systems, plumbing and drainage systems, BMS, DCIM, and automatic control systems.
– Fundamental knowledge of network design and layout (copper/fiber) as well as low/high voltage (copper/fiber) cabling, Monitoring, and alarming systems
– Strong personal computer & IT skill sets, including but not limited to MS Office, Workfront, DCIM Tools, and Engineering Design Tools such as VISIO, AUTOCAD, and others.
IT WOULD BE AN ADDED ADVANTAGE IF YOU HAVE
– Awareness/ Experience in standards such as ISO 27001, TIA 942 – B
– Experience in computer networking, systems administration, VLAN configuration, Switches & router configuration & troubleshooting
– Experience working in a live internet data center.
