Job Description


Identify, target, and win new business for the company selling services in freight forwarding/logistics.


  • Establish relationships with new customers and secure contracts that achieve assigned sales quotas and targets.
  • Drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to closed sales.
  • Negotiate competitive rates with suppliers, particularly with air and ocean liners when necessary.
  • Provide forecasts on the best-case and most likely sales volumes over relevant time periods.
  • Give sales presentations, submit opportunities, and submit activity and results reports to leadership.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to meet or exceed sales targets with regular client follow-ups.
  • Develop and maintain functional knowledge of the products, services, and operations offered by the company.
  • Support customer service and work closely with operations and documentation on the execution of customer service contracts and bookings.
  • Schedule and regularly communicate freight rates and related information to the new and existing customer base.
  • Maintain a predetermined number of target accounts and demonstrate active attention to those accounts and progress toward closing.
  • Meet or exceed the sales threshold/quota as defined by the company.
  • Follow up with clients for outstanding payments supported by the finance department.
  • Work cooperatively with other sales and operational staff to support a healthy working environment.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics Management/Logistics, or a related field of study.
  • Minimum three (3) years of Business-to-Business (B2B) experience selling services in freight forwarding/logistics, including at least (1) year of experience closing sales at the executive level or sales account management.
  • Self-motivated, aggressive, and ambitious individual.
  • Fluent in English with strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
