Responsibilities

1. Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for software applications.
2. Identify, document, and track software defects and issues, and work with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and establish quality standards and processes.
4. Participate in requirements and design reviews to provide input on potential quality and testability issues.
5. Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, performance, and usability testing.
6. Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
7. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior QA engineers, and assist in their professional development.
8. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our testing practices are up-to-date.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on manual or automated testing.
3. Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
4. Proficiency in designing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
5. Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG.
6. Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
7. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA).
8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software defects.
9. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
10. Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadline.
