Our Tech Stack:

AWS, Java, JavaScript, React, Scala, NodeJS, Neo4j, RabbitMQ, Docker, Terraform, Python, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Akka Streams, SQL, HOCON, XQuery

Day to day activities:

  • Manage support tickets : Keeping a record of any issues, problems, or bugs, usually within JIRA and any knowledge repository
  • Providing on-call or rotation-based support
  • Maintaining and updating technical and instruction manuals, policies, and procedures
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, directing, educating and training customer representatives
  • Work independently
  • Have a good understanding of your work area
  • Gain a high level of knowledge about the Alex Application stack
  • Develop the application support analysis community by sharing best practice and mentoring others

Skills Required:

  • Desirable if you have prior experience in Level 1 application support and responding to customer tickets
  • Ability to learn new software products quickly to keep up with changes in organisation
  • Familiarity software programming concepts and ideally familiarity with at least one programming language or query syntax (such as Java, Javascript, Python, SQL, SQLPlus, .NET)
  • Basic knowledge of Linux systems
  • An understanding of multiple OS platforms and SaaS environments.
  • Understanding integration
  • An understanding of the concepts of customer satisfaction and service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Basic ITIL knowledge
  • Customer service oriented problem solving
  • Critical thinker with superior spoken and written communication skills and the ability to translate complex ideas for non-tech staff/customers

Bonus skills:

  • Familiarity with common API types (HTTP, Websocket, client libraries, etc)
  • Familiarity with common Authentication and Authorization mechanisms (SSL, OAuth, JWT, etc)
