Job Description

UI/UX Engineer

OPTIMO is a UK based world class software solutions provider for the venue and event management sector with a history spanning over 20 years. We are in the process of expanding our team and are looking for top talent to join us on our journey towards excellence.

We are looking for UI/UX Engineers with a creative flair and excellent skills to join our team.

Responsibilities

Evaluate user requirements in collaboration with Business Analysts and Engineers
Support with coding components and bug fixes on UI
Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps
Design graphic user interface elements, and navigation
Develop UI mock-ups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches, and tables)
Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
Adhere to style standards on fonts, colours, and images

Requirements

Proven work experience as a UI/UX Engineer or similar role
A degree In Software Engineering / Design, Computer Science, or relevant field
Knowledge in coding such as HTML/SCSS/CSS
Knowledge in front end frameworks such as angular will be an added advantage
Portfolio of design projects
Knowledge of React Native and node-js
Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe XD
Excellent time-management skills and team working skills
