Job Description


  • Work closely with top management to develop the sales plan for the organization, providing region-specific data and information.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies for a given region and its areas, in consultation with the team.
  • Monitor existing distributor and channel capabilities and make necessary changes to meet sales objectives.
  • Nurture and develop sustainable relationships with distributors, dealers, and customers.
  • Constantly monitor competitor movements, strategies, and actions in the region and take appropriate countermeasures.
  • Provide inputs to the national sales manager about competitor activities in the region to develop counter strategies.
  • Ensure the development of appropriate sales databases, including client and prospective client information, as well as industrial customers and channel members.
  • Review and monitor sales volumes and receivables information regularly, providing MIS reports to the NSM.
  • Take timely and appropriate action regarding outstanding receivables.
  • Monitor the cost of sales, including wages, incentives, travel costs, promotions, and discounts, to ensure they align with the budgeted amounts/targets.
  • Establish and conduct sales team training and coaching programs to equip them with current knowledge of the organization’s products and services.


– Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the automobile, lubricant, or FMCG industry.

– Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, SLIM, CIM, or any related professional qualification will be a definite advantage.

– In-depth knowledge of marketing techniques and best practices.
