Job Opening: Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

As a Maintenance Technician at Sheraton Kosgoda Turtle Beach Resort, you will be responsible for responding to guest repair requests and resolving maintenance issues. You will perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room equipment. Additionally, you will be responsible for inspecting equipment, identifying shut-off valves, maintaining inventory, and communicating daily activities and problems to other shifts. Basic knowledge in various maintenance areas such as air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building will be required. This role will involve surface preparation, painting, minor repairs, and cleaning duties. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing various equipment, plumbing, and electrical components. Basic computer skills will be necessary for inputting schedules and making temperature changes.

Responsibilities:

• Respond and attend to guest repair requests
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room equipment
• Inspect tools, equipment, or machines
• Identify and operate shut-off valves for equipment and buildings
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed
• Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts
• Display basic knowledge in various maintenance areas
• Perform surface preparation, painting, minor repairs, and cleaning duties
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment, plumbing, and electrical components
• Program TV’s and perform general housekeeping and inventory duties
• Follow all company and safety policies and procedures
• Ensure clean and professional appearance
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
• Adhere to quality expectations and standards
• Develop positive working relationships with others
• Move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested

Requirements:

• Prior experience in maintenance or related field
• Knowledge of air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
• High school diploma or equivalent
