Job Description

Requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology.
• 4+ years of IT audit experience
• Relevant professional qualifications such as CISA, CISM, CA, CPA CIA, etc. or desire to undertake such qualifications
• Experience in auditing IT controls consistent with ISO 27001
• Ability to use data analytics or work with large sets of data from various data sources, conducting deep dives to identify trends
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review internal IT controls, evaluate the design and operational effectiveness, determine risk exposure, and develop remediation strategies.
• Support the team on the delivery of multiple client engagements.
• Contribute to the development of audit plans, controls testing fieldwork, and draft reports.
• Assess the current state of client Information System controls, identify Technology and Security risks, and develop remediation recommendations.
• Analyse, evaluate, and enhance information security controls, and perform information security audits.
• Be involved in other technology risk projects.

Skills and attributes for success:

• Able to work effectively with other members of the team on planning and developing work program timelines, risk assessments, and other documents/templates.
• A proactive approach to learning and working with other team members within stipulated timelines along with understanding the work quality expectations.
• An understanding of Information Systems Auditing standards and methodology.
• Good project management and organizational skills.
• Have good communication skills, inspiring teamwork, and responsibility with other team members.
• An understanding of common frameworks and standards, and how they could be applied based on the client’s risk environment.
