✅ As a Research Analyst at SMG, you will:

  • Conduct simple qualitative, quantitative, and statistical research analysis for client presentations and ad-hoc requests
  • Support Account Managers in determining the correct analytical approach to answer client’s questions and support key business decisions
  • Collaborate with fellow analysts to understand the overall research agenda
  • Work with internal teams to provide simple research expertise, business intelligence, and analysis for existing and new business opportunities
  • Prepare data-driven presentations that meet client needs and business objectives
  • Build basic statistical models that support SMG’s business model
  • Present data and high-level technical concepts to internal clients that summarize data in a digestible format
  • Ensure optimal quality and integrity of all data utilized for internal and external projects
  • Develop basic subject matter expertise on a specific area of focus relevant to SMG
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time and with the highest level of quality

✅ You are a perfect match for the role if you:

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Research, or a related field. A Master’s degree would be a bonus
  • Have basic knowledge and application of statistical principles and methodology
  • Have at least 1 year of experience in a similar field
  • Have basic knowledge and exposure to R or R-based GUIs such as RStudio or BlueSky
  • Have basic knowledge and exposure to programming languages such as Python or SQL (preferred)
  • Have the ability to manipulate datasets in R (data cleaning, recoding, assigning variable labels and values, aggregation, restructuring data)
  • Can run basic analyses (e.g., frequency tables, means tables, linear regression) using R or R-based GUIs such as RStudio or BlueSky
  • Have basic knowledge and exposure to statistical model building and testing
  • Are fluent in written and spoken English
