The Flaum Eye Institute Optical is seeking a full-time employee for the position of Ophthalmology Optical Assistant. The primary responsibilities of this role involve customer service, eyewear sales, and ensuring profitability. The ideal candidate should be able to work autonomously and make independent decisions.
The main duties of this position include assisting the Store Manager (Optician) in maintaining optical quality controls, handling cash reconciliation, and providing high-end eyewear selection to retail customers and Flaum Eye Institute patients.
Specific responsibilities include:
The qualifications for this position include an associate’s degree or equivalent education and experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as well as proficiency in using computers and technology. Previous sales or retail experience is desired but not required. The ability to multitask, provide excellent customer service, and maintain patient confidentiality is a must.
